The Architects Register Admission Examination provides a route to the Register of Architects for people in architectural practice who have not attained the required academic and professional qualifications.

In three stages of assessments, over one calendar year, ARAE offers you an opportunity to demonstrate your competence and experience.

A series of assessments are designed to be relevant to people who have gained knowledge and skill through experience and self-advancement, rather than formal and professional education.

  Registration

The Register of Architects was introduced under the Building Control Act 2007. The title ‘architect’ is now protected and cannot be used by anyone who is not on the Register held by the Registration body, the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI).
